Default How many days should moving party serve motion documents

I have a motion date set for August 25. I was out of town all of last week and just came back last night and saw mail in my mailbox.

According to the Family Law Rules, I have 4 days to respond to all parties. This gives me till 4 PM today.

This is obviously some delay tactic to put pressure on me.

I am filing a response but need time to complete my documents and also requesting an adjournment. Thoughts?
