Default Reschedule Case Conference?

Hey everyone, on Friday my partners ex handed him the case conference notice. It is set for August 28th. We are out of the province on our summer access from August 11th to the 27th which she has known since February. Can he ask for it to be rescheduled since we won't be in the province to send and receive the Conference Briefs? She said she won't consent to it being changed when he pointed out that she may have forgotten we will be away until the day before. She said guess you will have to cut your trip short. So just wondering if he can bump it even a week and if we need her consent. Thanks!

Ideally, it would be done with her consent.

If not, some options:
- file materials early (before holiday) then attend anyways
- File a basket motion, seeking the adjournment
- Send in a confirmation (now) stating you are seeking a contested adjournment
