    This question is something that I came to contradicting answers.

    Some say child custody may be awarded to the (unemployed) parent because that parent has more time and is always there for the child while others say it could be a reason to lose custody because of no income.

    I just wonder what others think, not related to my case.

    You can't look at one factor in isolation to determine best interests of the child. It's the whole ball of wax.
