  • Enforcing Court Costs Order/Section 7

    Hi All,

I received sole custody after a lengthy court battle for many years. I was also awarded significant court costs as well. From my understanding, FRO cannot collect or garnish for these. How does one attempt to collect these? Is it true that if these significant court costs are still unpaid that my X cannot simply file frivolous issues before the court? Finally, for major section 7 expenses, can FRO attempt to garnish those?

    TIA for your input/help.

I had the same issue. I submitted a motion and they can put the costs on a support deduction order for fro to enforce. My judge wasn't too sure if it could be done. They seem to not be aware. She asked a lawyer in the room and the lawyer confirmed that it could be done. Fro enforced immediately

You would submit the section 7 expenses to FRO and they recover them.
