One of the things that my ex is using to keep my son from me is that he has separation anxiety.
After I took her to court for and interim hearing regarding her not allowing me to see my son, she complied 3 times and all 3 times my son experienced NO separation anxiety. That was two weeks ago. Now she is coming up with other excuses such as: it's a school night, he doesn't want to go or he's busy.
SHe says that she asks him and he replies that he doesn't want to go ( could be because she told him he could have a friend sleep over when she knew it was my night to see him!! ) He is almost 7 years old. Do you think he should be told that he has to go anyways? She says that she refuses to push it with him and now suddenly he gets on the phone with me and is saying the weirdest and out of character things, such as: " you can't force me. Mom! He's trying to force me!" I was shocked to hear my son say this because it came out of nowhere! I wasn't even discussing our contact with him when he suddenly, out of nowhere, started saying this. I was completely baffled by his sudden outburst. It didn't even have anything to do with the topic we were discussing at the time: the lighthouse in our town!
I am lost as to how to handle this. It's quite obvious what is happening and I am terrified at ex's manipulation and how she seems to be getting away with it. Part of me feels like giving up and another wants to fight harder.
Anyone here have any similar experience? Any advice or shared experience would be sooooo welcome by me!
