  • FRO at it again

Just got a letter from the Fro stating they will be deducting from my income source once again. How embarassing this will be. Stating once again that I'm in arrears. I've never been in arrears and have documentation from them stating such as I used it in court in June. Last time this happened I had to get my MPP involved which rectified the issue. Ex was just causing trouble once again stating she was afraid I wouldn't pay although I have never missed a payment. They state in the letter the amount in arrears is due Jan 2010 which is the amount I pay, so how can I be in arrears I pay in December from my check for January. This is just getting out of hand. Has anyone experienced the same issues with the FRO.

Yes. They've garnished 50% of my pay on numerous occassions by telling me I was in arrears, upon receiving their statements, I would calculate that I was not in arrears but it would continue for months or weeks, depeding, and how can I be responsible for any arrears when I don't chose when and how much I pay, it is garnished at the source.

Recently, they garnished 50% of my EI for being in arrears while I was actually over 300 overpaid.

Support is due on the 1st of the month, my ex-employer (and no doubt EI as well) didn't submit it till the end of the month. I had to earn the money, then have it deducted it from my pay and sent to FRO...commom sense. But yet, when I offered to pre-pay for one month so that I would never be in arrears FRO told me my payment would towards arrears, which didn't actually exist, so the next payment instead of being of time would be late as well.

Make a complaint to the ombudsman, I am.
