  • Funny Story Part 2

    Hey everyone,

First, thank you for the help last time around.
    read here: http://www.ottawadivorce.com/forum/f...y-story-18616/

So I've got a copy of our marriage certificate. I've looked everything up, her name, address, phone, parents names, person who performed the marriage. I couldnt find anything online. They are all chinese so the names are probably not even what they go by.

Now i'm pretty sure she has moved to China. And I'm hoping to satisfy the court and prove that I did everything to find her.

What am I expected to do to located her? Can you recommend a person locating service?

How can I minimize what this will cost me in lawyer fees?

What are the chances I can just tell the courts that this person disappeared shortly after our wedding and I want it annulled. But was too young and dumb to do anything about it when i was 22(now 31). Probably not, huh.

    Thanks again,

I believe you have to send a letter to the last known address. I saw someone do this and the court clerk accepted that.

You can also look for her on social media and post "looking for so and so" ad. They used t make you do this through the newspaper but social media is probably better and it's free.

Freethed: Have you asked the court what information they need? Good luck.
