  • Coincidental or not?

I have not received a check from FRO since the end of October. Tonight I just learned that ex has moved (he told me in an email). I do not know when this move took place.

Could these events possibly be related?

    Is that really your question?

I believe it is incumbent upon your ex to inform FRO immediately of any change of address. My ex did this once and MEP was all over him for not informing them. They tracked him down within hours. Check to see if FRO received change of address for your ex (they won't give you address but may at least confirm they are aware of his move). You can probably fax FRO a copy of the email in which he indicated he moved.

The best source of info for why you haven't got any FRO payment since end of October, would be FRO.

I doubt the ex moving would have much to do with it, unless he also changed employers or something, and his payment was being garnished from employer.

My thoughts are the same as Dad2bandm... his move is most likely not the reason for not receiving any money from FRO, if he moved and changed employers this could be why. He should inform you and FRO of his new address immediately.

Have you actually contact FRO to ask why you have not received any money?

I didn't think a change of address would cause a disruption in support... Just curious to hear from others who may have first hand experience.

Today I went over my bank statements, looks like there has been some arrears collecting. I will definitely be contacting FRO to figure out why.

            Thanks!
