    Final report released by the Family Justice Working Group.

    http://www.cfcj-fcjc.org/sites/defau...ril%202013.pdf

    Doesnt look to bad, but I think theyre lacking in a few areas.

    Anyways..it has to be better than what we got right now right?

    Thank you for this report. What I took away is:

    Lawyers should try to resolve issues should at the beginning if possible, with the help of counsellors and others in the field; law professors with a wider understanding of family law should be employed to teach aspiring lawyers; more funding for legal aid, which also includes the employment use of non-lawyers to aid the recipients. Lots more but these are the main issues I retained, and besides my eyeballs are falling out.

      Thank-you for posting. I have been hunting for the publication of this one!

      Will post a full review in a few weeks once I have digested it all.

      But, this recommendation did jump out at me really fast:

      Recommendation 23:
      That specialized judges be appointed to hear family cases and that these judges have or
      be willing to acquire:
      substantive and procedural expertise in family law;
      the ability to bring strong dispute resolution skills to bear on family cases;
      training in and sensitivity to the psychological and social dimensions of
      family law cases (in particular, family violence and the impact of separation
      and divorce on children)
      ; and
      awareness of the range of family justice services available to the families
      appearing before them.
      and...

      Recommendation 24:
      That one judge preside over all pre-trial motions, conferences and hearings in family
      cases.
      Good Luck!
