So last week on a telephone conversation, it was agreed that she would depose STBX on his affidavit (all of his allegations are lies) and that we would have an interim hearing for custody and support because he refuses to pay full child support (kids live with me); at a later date we would go for provisional measures. Interim was supposed to be today, she called me yesterday to say that the other lawyer could not attend.
This morning she calls me back and tells me that she's been thinking about my case and she suggests not deposing ex, skipping interim altogether and just setting a date in a couple of months for trial to get child custody and support over and done with, says that we can take care of the divorce at a later date.
She says that this is much more convenient for me money-wise because I'll be avoiding a lot of legal fees, does this sound like a good plan or just stick to the original plan?
Since the kids live with me, I'm asking for full custody.
