  • Settlement Conference Confirmation 14c

I am filling out my confirmation to send in for my settlement conference. For the Total Time Estimate what is reasonable for time for Applicant to put in?
For motions I always put 20 minutes.

    Thank you

Depends entirely on the issues and how close you are to settling.

Use your experience at the case conference and in any negotiations to make a better estimation. Twenty minutes is not likely to be accurate.

Make sure you add the notice of confirmation to the front of the continuing record after it's filed.

I learned the hard way by believing it was the responsibility of the court clerk to do so.

I have never heard of having to file the confirmation at the beginning of the continuing record. When I went to court for case conference I had a lawyer. I have only done motions while self represented. Why does the confirmation need to be filed with the court in the continuing record?

Not sure. This is all new to me.

I showed up to have my motion heard only to find I was on the wrong docket because my confirmation wasn't filed. It was filed, at the back of the continuing record, by the court clerk. It just wasn't listed on the front page of the CR.

The following day a different court clerk told me to never assume the court clerk filing it will record it on the front page.
