  • Ego

    My ex-spouse has an ego the size of Montana. I try to compromise with him on the things he wants, but he won’t budge on anything. Help!! I am so frustrated, so are my children. He does no wrong.

    welcome Marci Lots of good people here with good advice, opinions.

    In response to your post;

    That can be a difficult situation your in. Is the other person controlling? abusive etc? Compromise is good, and I commend you for it, but it is a two way street. Hard to say more without knowing more.

      This may sound stupid, but egos can be useful in a divorce dispute. Think of your goal - is it possible to achieve your goal and make him feel like it was his idea?

        Hi Marci

        Welcome to the forum. A judge would hopefully see his unwillingness to compromise on resonable issues--'my way or the highway' attitude just won't cut it for him in court.
        It's great you compromise but stand firm on issues you strongly believe in until they're satisfactory for both of you.
        More info. would be helpful.....be posting. Take care.
