emotionally distraught & lost

My husband & I have been living in hell for almost a year now. The house that we live in is under my name both title & mortgage. I know that even though he didn't put downpayment or closing or renovation costs, the split would still be 50/50. Our fights have become very intense & physical where my sons have intervened. I had been told that I call the police & report him; however I'm so reluctant to do this coz of the embarassment that it will caused & the effect it would have on my kids if they see their dad being taken away by the police. He used to give me a fixEd bi-weekly amount for the expenses plus the child support through FRO that we never cancelled in 2004 when we reconciled & moved in in this that I purchased & has been our matrimonial home since the day I purchased it. He now refuses to give me the bi-weekly amount unless he said I can give him receipts which would involve showing him my bank statement coz almost every expenses is automatically deducted from my account. I do not want to give him my bank statement. Everything is under my name coz my husband has had bad credit up until about 4 months ago when he finally got his first credit card. I finally moved out of our bedroom 3 wks ago when I found out that he cut up my dress, shoes that he bought for me. During a couple of arguments he tried to lock me inside the bathroom or our bedroom but my son came up & screamed at his dad to let me out. My question is:

1. if I call the police would he be able come back or keep the keys?

2. I don't have enough money to pay all the bills so I was going to use my home equity line of credit, also under my name & has no balance, to pay off my credit card bills and tax property? How does this affect the equalization process. The only money I get from him starting this month is $750 coming from FRO as we never cancelled the CS when we reconciled back in 2004.

I have asked him how much he wanted just to get him out of the house so we can have some peace but he refuses to move out until the financials are settled. I told him I will borrow the money from my sister if I have to just so I can pay him. He not only refuses to move he also refuses money except of the $750 from FRO.

My 15 year old son said that in the event of separation, he will stay half & half w/ his dad but my 18 yr old son will stay on weekends with his dad. I don't know how child support would work in this situation.

I have no savings & no money for lawyers coz my income pretty much went towards monthly expenses, furnishing the house & renovation since he refused to pay 1/2 of renovation materials coz he said it was my house. He only changed his tune about a year ago then he started sayimg it was our house. I know Im not qualified for a legal aid & won't be qualified for any spousal support since we make about the same money.

Please help. I'm so mentally & emotionally drained & don't know how to move forward as I have no money.
