Mediator

Help, I'm new at this, I'm looking for a financial mediator for a separation, can anyone suggest any names for fair mediators? I have been married for just over 20 years and I have a government pension. I know I'm going to have to give up quite a bit, at the same time, I want to make sure the process is fair for the both of us. I have worked full time for 20+ yrs while my husband has been employed and self employed on and off for the same period of time. He is now on disability, maybe for the rest of his life. Any suggestions are appreciated.

it may help if you give people a general idea of where you are located.

Did you ever get someone to provide you with a list of fair mediators?

I'm currently looking for family law mediator in Ottawa with a good background both in family law and psychology, for a separation agreement.

The few names I was recommended had reviews of significant bias online, which is an immediate red flag for me.

I'd consider simply retaining a good accountant. I think accountants are one of the most under-utilized resources available to people who are divorcing.

I'm not sure I know what a "financial mediator" is?

Don't forget to read up on "binding arbitration" as opposed to trial.
