one of these petty things - the recorder didn't help

So I Know what was in my pockets when they were emptied and tossed onto the island. When tht recorder was removed I got one of those flashes of stupidity......why, because it was on but i did no-t hit the auto record buttonFirst thing in the morning or did I ???? Well - it is time to move forward....nothing was on it (except for a mini self dialogue to make sure it was working nothing more.

So what is my petty? Yes if I were able to swear with my right hand on the bible, the police officer put the recorder down on the island counter. and Please do not hit me too hard for this - I have softly asked each of the children who stated no they did not see it, there was only one who knew I had it and she actually said she forgot about it - she never saw it again (it was always in my pocket!) So that leaves the ex who I can't ask but she took it. I could use it now for sure - and i need to watch what cash i do have at this point.....

So my question? do I get to at least list it on the possessions she took???
