CS Jurisdiction issue
Looking for information on requesting another country to take jurisdiction of a Canadian CS order. Divorce occurred in Canada and Mother has moved to Europe with child of marriage and has been living there for past 2 years. Will foreign courts recognize and adopt a Canadian court order? Glad to hear if anyone has experience with this or can offer advice. |

Hi Radar,
I am not familiar with out-of-country cases; however, I've looked at past threads with a similar theme and advice given at that time is to consult with a lawyer. You may also wish to contact the Department of Justice - their website is Department of Justice Canada Sorry I couldn't have been of more assistance. F4A |

I'm attempting to explore further with a lawyer in NL, that's proving to be a challenge in itself. |
