Hello,
I am sorry if this has been asked before. I am in Quebec, do not know if the laws are different, and have been separated for 2 years. When we split up, I paid for an evaluation of the home and gave her half, minus half of what was owed. What I want to know is even though I paid at least 85% of everything where the house was concerned and 100% of the car expenses, mostly because she was studying and didn't have a regular job, was I obliged to give her half of the value. I am not looking to get anything back, i am just trying to see if everything was done correctly. Thanks for any information you can give me. |
