child support in shared situation

My ex and i are separated almost 2 yrs, nothing in writing yet in regards to child support. "share" access (although mine is more 38% as he refuses to let me see them any other time). He is claiming FULL child support ($834/month), spousal support and retroactive expenses. He is self employed and I KNOW he hides money. Based on 2008 taxes, I make 10k more then him. What am I looking at? I am so, so freaked that I will have to pay full amount when I already pay for everything while my kids are with me (clothes, school stuff, perscriptions, hair cuts, extracirricular activities). Will a judge look at my expenses in relation to child support too? I have requested numerous times to increase my access but ex refuses. If I have to pay $834, i will be out on the street.

Fight the access time to get 50/50 and then decide what to do about proving that he makes more than he reports - if you can reasonable prove it (maybe others here had advice about how), then you may be able to impute income on him.

how do i fightthe access time...do I just state in the case conference that I have and continue to request more and he is denying me? Won't the judge just maintain status quo?

Call me crazy but to me the status quo is the years you were parenting and living with the kids every day, not the last two years where you were doing it almost half the time. Of course the dictionary does not agree with me, but hey, I think you get what I mean...

My opinion only, I have no court knowledge (thankfully!).
