Default Response to a motion

I filed a motion to change child support Aug 13 2015 and late today I received a call from my ex lawyer asking if they can serve there response to me electronically. I do not have a lawyer due to financial constraints so I did everything myself as well as paid a server to serve the motion to my ex.

Is her lawyer allowed to respond via email and if so should there be anything I should be concerned about allowing this?

Thank you
