WOW, overstepping the lines there. People who are depressed are not interested in sex. People who don't feel loved or are not appreciated are not interested in sex. That is more likely the reason. There is no indication from the OP that there has been any infidelity, so don't put that nonsense out there. It's not like this guy needs anything else on his plate, esp if it isn't likely to be true!

7. Evaluation of the Divorce Act, Department of Justice for Canada, 1990. In a sampling of divorce cases from various Canadian jurisdictions in the late 1980’s, government researchers used both court records and interviews with those divorced to ascertain custody statistics. According to both sources, in those cases where sole custody was awarded to one parent by a trial court, mothers were the ones receiving it 90% of the time (Tables 4.21 and 4.23).
To the original OP. True 50/50 shared custody is still low in Canada, but now most couples get joint custody by default. Shared parenting is gaining monentum and people are starting to realize it has more benefits than sole for the kids. Just be aware of the facts. Perparation and knowledge before hand of the "most common" arrangement is helpful so you know the biases you will be over-coming (which from you OP you already understand!). |

That is not the same as what you originally posted. Could you please correct your original post? The sentience I highlighted should clarify the information.

Child Custody Arrangements: Their Characteristics and Outcomes (2004-FCY-3E)

The paper was published in 1999 which was 11 years ago. The stats are even older (1994-1995) That is a LONG time ago for family law. I don't think that is very relevant to 2010.
