Ontario continuing record/records

If divorce proceedings end with one side conceding before it gets to trial, are the records public? I know they aren't sealed, but that also means that if it doesn't go to trial that it can't be accessed via forums such as CanLII. However, if a stranger asks for the record of Rabbit vs. Mouse, can they get access to it?

All court files are available to the public, regardless of the outcome, unless they are sealed.

Child protection files are sealed as a matter of course, other files are not.

After asking the court, no, this is not true.

If it doesn't go to trial, information in a case file is not accessible to the public.

CanLii does not publish all court decisions.

OrleansLawyer is, in fact, a lawyer who has practiced in Family Law.

2 answers to your questions (1 from the court and 1 from a family law lawyer) should suffice.
