Default Offer to settle Need some opinions!

Hi and thank you in advance. I have been common law for about 7 years in which we broke up 3 years into the relationship. At this point she attained legal advice and so did I however we got back together. Now going on 2 years we have split and I had a seperation agreement made by a lawyer. She received a lump sum payment and furniture. We were never married and had no children. I paid all her schooling also near the end of the relationship. I am tired of the B.S and just want it over so I can move on with my life. I made another offer the same as the original which is in total around 25,000 plus her schooling. Do yo think this is fair and how will a judge view this if not accepted. She is receiving legal aid so lawyer cost is not an issue for her!
THANKS

Personally, I think your offer is fair. Then again, I have zero experience with common law situations or spousal support guidelines. So please don't quote me. But from what you write, $25,000 seems reasonable.

If it is reasonable and a judge feels the same, and she does not accept it, then you may be entitled to receive costs for your court appearance. That much I know! :-)

I know what you mean! I want it all to go away too! Unfortunately for us, it won't go away for at least another 11 years... if not 16 more (until first degree is obtained).

Good luck to you!
