Hello, hoping you all can assist me with this. I was served yesterday with a motion for sole custody of one of my teenagers (who is living with me and does NOT want to live with my almost exwife) amongst other things. What I am confused with is on one hand the motion states that it will be before the court Monday morning but on the petition of divorce it states that we have 20 days to respond? Both mirror each other and the former does not give me much time to prepare said response. Or are these two seperate and just happened to be lumped into the same document. Specifics are available via PM if requested.

are you worried about the custody of your teenager? The teen can decide who they want to live with so I think it is just a tactic to try and hit you with everything and get you to act out.
I would think that an emergency motion would say something to reflect that it is an emergency motion. I am not sure though. |

Hi standing on the side lines,I have a question for you.My wife is moving out of home next week and into new abode. Can I change the locks as she has notified me she is moving out ?Its not right that someone can have access to your home when you don't have access to their home. We have a case conferance on Friday. Does this change anything ? Thanks.
