..posting for a friend.. what ramifications could a father who is seeking to increase access and secure partial custody face when they are also seen on online dating sites?

What it may do is anger the other parent in the matter and prolong the whole situation. But, a judge won't even entertain the evidence.

Depends on what kind of site it is and how he's representing himself. "Looking for Long-Term Relationship" on eHarmony is one thing, "Looking to party with other meth users" on Grindr is another.
