Default affidavit to evidence for trial

I am finishing my evidence book for trial, and have a question.

A lot of document/evidence has been submitted through a year of affidavits to the court record. Do I need to submit the whole affidavit into the evidence book or just the document itself? I am trying to make a manageable evidence book (under 600 pages) and want to cut out what I don't need at trial. But will the judge want to know how it was first disclosed?

Thanks-
FG
