littleman,
In Ontario; Common law status for spousal support purposes is that parties live continuous together for three years or have a child together and are living together in a relationship of some permanence. For CPP, other government pensions and status at CCRA; its one year continuous cohabitation together. Basically the relationship ends when they move out. The individual does not have any legal rights to bring forth a claim. lv |
