Default Common Law Separation then Marriage

Ok...so my common law partner and I separated June 1st of this year and I moved out (with a rental agreement to show the address change). The separation agreement has been signed and lists the separation date as June 1st.

Does this mean we are both able to carry on and persue other relationships and marry or is there some sort of period that we have to wait (like the 1 year divoice period)?

no waiting period at all. Even if you were married you do not have to wait until divorce to start dating again but sometimes it isnt a good idea right away in case the ex feels hurt and tries to hurt you back. If you were married then you have to wait 1 year to file divorce papers
