Is it good practice to get a separation agreement signed by a public notary? Or are 2 separate witnesses good enough to make it binding.

Two separate witness's should suffice. However, It is even better if you have an additional witness observe the witness signing making the count to four separate witness's.

Always put the full name of the witness's including address and telephone number.
